Some Apple Music Radio shows, including Time Crisis, went on a weird, unexplained 3-month hiatus
As the only blog in the world that covers Apple Music radio, I feel like it's important to note a weird recent programming change on Apple Music 1.
Some Apple Music radio shows were put on an early hiatus around September 2025, with notable show Time Crisis, hosted by Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig, taking an unexpected break. The show is often a top show on the Apple Music section inside Apple Podcasts, which is the only rare insight we get into the listenership of Apple Music 1. When the station still went by its original Beats 1 branding, its tagline was "Worldwide. Always on.". But it's also pretty normal for radio shows to take a holiday break, usually later in the year.
In November, show co-host Jake Longstreth said that "Apple told us that all their shows are on hiatus until next year" and apologised for the "recent absence" that wasn't hinted at on-air.

Other artist-hosted shows have not been updated since around the same time as Time Crisis, though it's hard to know which shows are intended to be seasonal, and which shows like Time Crisis generally run more consistently.
Apple's own staffed shows, such as The Zane Lowe Show and The Matt Wilkinson Show, have continued to run through the "hiatus".
