The app is only out on Android and so far is only available in Australia. The URL refers to the app as ‘Zero Tap’, which is a more apt description, but it’s officially known as ‘Stations’.
According to Spotify:
Stations is the easiest way to listen to the music you love. Totally free.
When you have access to all the music in the world, finding the right thing to play can feel like a challenge. With Stations, you can listen immediately, and switching stations is simple and seamless — no searching or typing needed. As you listen, it learns what you like and creates personalised stations that you’ll love.
Stations is an experiment by Spotify that makes it easy for anyone to listen to great music.
As well as a simple design style, the app is simple in function. There’s no skip button, even if you’re a Premium subscriber.
Honestly, as a person who finds it hard to listen to new music without either skipping constantly or going back to old favourites, it looks like a cool concept of functionality omission.
