Gadget — Samsung announced the Note 7 overnight in New York and it’s pretty sleek. Plus there’s a headphone jack, which is always nice.
There’s a dual-curved, 5.7″, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, QuadHD screen, a sealed 3,500mAh battery, an S-Pen with a smaller tip, Iris Scanning to unlock the phone, and both the phone and the pen are IP68 rated — meaning both are water resistant.
Internally there’s an octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage, expandable via microSD.
The camera is a f/1.7, 12MP sensor while the front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter.
Also USB-C and Android 6.0. Upgrade to Nougat whenever Samsung wants.
When: August 19. Pre-orders start August 5 (and pre-orders include a huge free 256GB MicroSD chip).
