Sony officially hints at the PS5 Pro design as 30 year anniversary approaches
Sony is celebrating 30 years of PlayStation, and it sounds like it's also starting to show the PS5 Pro for the first time.
In a social post teasing the anniversary, Sony included a glyph that looks very similar to recent leaks of the PS5 Pro design.
The 30th Anniversary celebration also includes a few other announcements.
First up is a trial version of Gran Turismo 7, called My First Gran Turismo, that's coming "this holiday".
PlayStation is also marking the occasion with:
Shapes of Play. A new collection of products called “Shapes of Play,” crafted by the team behind the design of PlayStation consoles, gives you opportunities to create fun moments with our iconic shapes: Shapes of Play: Battle is a board game where you can challenge a friend to line up four different shapes of the same color on the board to win. Shapes of Play: Create is a set of magnetic blocks that you can position in any direction to create fun shapes. Shapes of Play: Recharge lets you experience a new way to recharge between games, especially after that tough boss battle.
Though it sounds like these collections will be skipping Australia and will only be available from PlayStation Direct in "the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Benelux".
Each month starting October the company will also be releasing classic game soundtracks digitally from the following games:
- God of War
- God of War II
- God of War: Ghost of Sparta
- Twisted Metal
- Starhawk
- Unit 13

I've got my fingers crossed for some more PS1-grey accessories, similar to the ones released for the 20th anniversary (am I really getting that old?).
The announcement of the PS5 Pro is rumoured to arrive as early as next week.
